The standard of cooking is excellent and we take the trouble to source food carefully. The cuisine as such is International using many of our own recipes - we don't cook "French" or "English" but our own style of cooking, which is International. We take the trouble to bake our own whole meal bread. We eat together in the glazed eating area and you have a choice of white or red wines from the region. We have many, many references and appraisals about our cooking from all over the world. If you are finicky and picky about food, (don't do this and don't do that) - don't bother coming to France! We charge a supplement for vegetarian and special diets.

We serve a simple breakfast based on our home baked bread; cheese, hams, yoghurts and a full evening meal with wine. We try and keep our food interesting, delicious, nutritious and healthy. Fans of fried food, chips and burgers are going to be disappointed.

We also make our own jams and, our speciality, our own delicious mango, lime and apricot chutneys for when we serve curries. These are home made using apple cider vinegar, sugar, spices, fruit and vegetables.

Our menus change each year and from season to season depending on availability of fresh produce, but some of our specialities are
- chicken breasts stuffed with bacon and leeks in a puff pastry;
- roast breast of duck served with candied orange peel or barbequed and served with a cherry sauce;
- pan fried scallops of pork served with our own sweet/sour sauce;
- salmon baked in a paper casing with fresh dill;
- roast loin of pork with Armagnac and sautéed apples;
- stuffed breast of Guinea fowl with chestnuts and bacon and so on.
Our vegetarian dishes are equally satisfying, for example vegetable cous cous or aubergines aux gratin.
We try to keep our food healthy, nutritious and very satisfying and we spend a lot of time and money sourcing good quality produce, and treating it with care and passion!
That's why we only do an evening meal because if you ate like this twice a day; you'd be recruited for the UK Sumo team!
